The IRIS: CORE Initiative (Connections, Opportunities, Resources and Education) will offer interpreter candidates a dynamic, cohorted learning experience that will begin with a multi-day face-to-face training and orientation in early summer, led and facilitated by the IRIS Project leadership team with small group breakout sessions.
The IRIS: CORE Initiative's 9-month online training, encompassing both interpreting knowledge and skills, will be offered via a hybrid delivery system. After successful completion of the training, each interpreter candidate will then engage in a 6-month induction-mentorship experience.
